Ahmed Salkida, the only journalist known to have some access to the leadership of Boko Haram, says credible sources have told him the Chibok girls are still alive, with some refusing to convert to Islam, TheCable is reporting.
Over 300 schoolgirls were kidnapped from their dormitory in April 2014 and at least 219 of them are still believed to be in captivity, although there is yet no clue on their location.
During last night's media chat, President Buhari told the world there's no credible intelligence on the location of the girls even after several bombings targeting Boko Haram hideouts in Sambisa forest, sparking fears that the girls are probably no more.
But Salkida, in an op-ed for TheCable, suggested that President Muhammadu Buhari should use state machinery to open up access to the militants rather than say he has no clue on the kidnapped girls whose abductions sparked off the #BringBackOurGirls campaign.
Salkida wrote: "Most of the Chibok girls, whether they are split into groups or not, are alive, multiple credible sources have told me, and if a deal to release them will weaken national security and endanger the entire country, then the federal government shouldn't make a deal.
"I am confident that Chibok girls and other captives can return to their families if the government is half as strong-willed as some of the girls in captivity that have refused to be married out or give up their faith.
"The girls would have never backed out of any process, no matter how irritating it is. They would stay on and negotiate hard until they get a deal that will earn them their freedom and stop such abductions so that no one else can ever witness their woeful plight."
Boko Haram leader, Abubakar Shekau — from whom nothing has been heard in the last 10 months — once released a video of the schoolgirls and said he had sold them off to marriage. All efforts to free the girls have failed.

The Shi'a Islamic Movement of Nigeria will seek redress for the murder of their members by the men of the Nigerian Army at the International Criminal Court of Justice.

Yakubu Yahaya, a leader of the Shi'a Islamic movement of Nigeria has said that the movement has assembled a team of prominent local and international lawyers to bring up charges against the Nigerian government.

At a a press conference, Wednesday in Katsina, Yakubu Yahaya a leader of the Shi'a Islamic movement of Nigeria, said it will not watch their oppressors get away without a fair trial, said that God is the ultimate judge. He said;

"This world is too small now and therefore no matter the level of atrocities committed against a people with time it will catch up with you. We live everything to God and Insha Allah he will judge against those who oppressed us" he added.

The Shi'a Islamic movement leader also dismissed the claims by the Nigerian Army which was reechoed by Governor Elrufai of Kaduna state, that the group was stockpiling arms to cause trouble, adding "in the over 40 years of our existence we never carried arms. We will never fight or carry arms".

Reacting to Sheikh Gumi's allegation that the Shi'a Islamic movement has been running a parallel government, Yahaya commented that "to run a government is to have a president, governors, parliament, the security agencies and other arms. But in our case we don't have any".

The Shi'a Islamic movement of Nigeria, said that muslims of the different persuasion who are currently celebrating the killings of Shi'as in Zaria reminded that a time may come when they will find themselves in the same shoes.

The whereabouts of the Shi'a Islamic movement of Nigeria leader, Ibrahim El-Zakzaky remains unknown. Earlier reports of him being remanded in a Kaduna prison has been disclaimed by the Comptroller of the Prisons.

Three Nigerian men have been arrested by Indian police for allegedly gang raping a 19 year old Indian girl in West Delhi's Uttam Nagar area. The three alleged rapists are pictured sitting on the ground in the pic below and surrounded by police...
According to India police, the men were arrested on Dec. 29th after getting a statement from the victim, who claimed she was lured into the home of one of the men.
The girl, who is a student, said she came to Delhi for the holidays and was staying with her brother's female friends. On the night of the incident, she said the two women suggested they go to the club to party but instead took her to the home of one of the Nigerians. Later in the night, one of them started touching her inappropriately and when she resisted, he forced himself on her. Two other guys allegedly joined in.
In her statement to police, she said she managed to escape and contacted her brother who then called the police.
33 year old Nwachorudo Charles Echejohn and two of his friends were arrested. The two women who allegedly lured her to the home have also been arrested.
