Federal Lawmaker distributes security gadgets in Lagos
Hon. Jide Jimoh, the Federal House of Representatives' member, representing Lagos Mainland and Yaba Constituency, has distributed more than 200 security search gadget to Schools, Churches and Mosques to compliment the State Government's effort at ensuring security and safety in Lagos.
Speaking at the handing over ceremony held at the Yaba Local Council Development Area, Hon. Jimoh said, economic prosperity can only thrive in a relatively safe and peaceful environment, adding that, Governments at all levels must provide an enabling environment by ensuring the safety of citizens and institutions against threats to their well-being.
While applauding the Federal Government for attaching the necessary importance to the country security by improving substantially the capacity of Nigerian Armed Forces, Jimoh implored public spirited individuals to assist governments in this regard, noting that, the Nation is presently facing a lot of security challenges ranging from armed robbery, kidnapping to terrorism.
Present at the event were top government functionaries including the State Commissioner for Local Government and Community Development, Alhaji Musiliu Folami, Executive Secretary, Yaba LCDA, Mrs. Bola Lawal-Olumegbon, members of the Federal House of Representatives and party leaders in the State.
