Gov. Mimiko in his characteristic sociopolitical dishonesty has announced April 23 of this year as the date to conduct elections into the 203 political wards and the 18 local government areas of Ondo state.
He needs to answer the following questions :
1. Has he discharge the local government case instituted in court by the Local Govt Chairmen he sacked in 2009 which he claimed prevented him from conducting the elections since 7 years ago ?
2. He claimed that salaries of civil servants in 2016 will be uptight due to shrinking economy. Where is he going to source funds to finance this election.
3. What is his budget for this election ?
4. When has this election become a priorty to a state struggling to meet its financial obligations towards:
i. Civil servants whose salaries are in arrears of 3 months
ii. Pensioners who are in arrears 4 months.
This waste should be boycotted by all serious minded and good people of Ondo state.
