PH, warri, Kaduna refineries may become obsolete by 2018
Nigeria's government refineries will soon be faced with extinction if they are not immediately upgraded in the face of impending competition from emerging ones, studies carried out on the country's refineries, pipelines and depots indicate.
It is however estimated such upgrade would cost between $7 billion and $9billion for all existing refineries currently in the control of Nigerian government...
NNPC has four refineries, two in Port Harcourt (PHRC), and one each in Kaduna (KRPC) and Warri (WRPC). The 4 refineries have a combined installed capacity of 445,000 bpd. A
The combined installed capacity of PHRC is 210,000 bpd.
The installed capacities of KRPC and WRPC are 110,000 bpsd and 125,000 bpd respectively.
