PDP BOT sacks Sheriff, Makarfi; takes over party leadership

The crisis rocking the opposition PDP assumed new dimension today, with the party's BoT saying it had taken over the leadership of the party pending the resolution of the leadership tussle in the fold.

BoT Chairman, Walid Jibrin, told staff of the party that both the party's NWC led by fmr Gov. Ali Modu Sheriff and the Interim Nat. Caretaker Committee led by fmr Gov. Ahmed Makarfi had been sacked
