Truth wins - real story

My business partner just shared with me email form one of our colleagues: Hi You asked me yesterday what happened or what I had done because I was getting better and better prospects. I suddenly realized what happened. I finally took your advice, without realizing it, and stopped spending time on people that would propably never join the business anyway. I have always been the nice girl that want´s to help everyone, usually without getting anything in return other than demands of doing more.  I started this business that way and was spending a lot of time on people that I knew deep inside would never have the money or the attitude to make it in a business like this. I kind of wanted to let them down easy or something like that and was always hoping that they would find a way to come up with the money so I could help the people that really needed it. I knew all along that this wasn´t the right way of thinking but I guess that old habits are hard to break.  Eventually I just had enough of people like that and started to just tell them the truth really quickly once they started to ask about the money part and then moved on to the next one. I also remembered when you first called me.  I don´t think that I would have bought the gold package if you would have talked like you were trying to sell me something or if you really needed me to do this business (like most network marketers that I have met do). What happened was that you talked like it was totally up to me but this was the only way to really make it. You also didn´t try to sell me the business right away but instead started to ask about me wich made me feel like I was on a job interview or if I had to prove myself to get your support and this really worked. When I didn´t contact you in a month you also didn´t pressure me and that made me feel like you were doing that good in this business that it didn´t really matter to you if I joined or not. I started talking to my prospects the exact same way without even realizing that I was doing it and you can just see what happened :) Personal development or what???? Anyway I just had to tell you about this cause I thought it was so amazing how differently I´m starting to think in just a few months.
