Work with me to promote peace in Rivers State - Wike begs Muslim
Source: Daily post
The Rivers state governor, Nyesom Wike has enjoined Muslims to support his administration to engender development in the state.
Represented by Chairman of the Rivers State Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board, Abdulrazaq Diepriye, during a Jum'at Prayer to mark the 2016 Armed Forces Remembrance Day on Friday, Wike said that development can only take place in a peaceful environment.
Commending the members of the Nigerian Armed Forces for their commitment to the peaceful coexistence of the country, Wike called on Nigerians to always pray for armed forces personnel as they sacrifice their time and lives to defend the country.
"I urge all Muslims in the state to be law abiding and peaceful. We pray for the peaceful repose of all armed forces personnel who lost their lives defending the country. We also pray for the families they left behind," Wike said.
