FG SETS TO HANDOVER 23,000 'GHOST WORKERS' TO EFCC
Minister of Finance, Kemi Adeosun this afternoon told Senate Committee on Finance that the 23,000 ghost workers unraveled in the Federal Civil Service would be handed over to Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).
Speaking when she appeared before the committee, the Minister said banks that connived with the workers to pad the Federal government payroll are going to be prosecuted too.
"We will not only sack them, we will ensure the recovery of the money they have been collecting over the years from the Federal government, " she said.

All the Directors, Permanent Secretaries and DGs under which ghost workers were discovered are the people to be prosecuted and not the ghost workers. Infact the ghost workers doesn't exist in person but on payroll..
