Kaduna Anti-kidnapping Squad rescued 4 abducted girls
The Kaduna State Government's Joint Special Anti-kidnapping Squad of military and police have rescued four young girls abducted by a gang of kidnapers.
Samuel Aruwan, spokesperson of Governor Nasir Ahmad El-Rufai, disclosed this to newsmen in Kaduna.
According to Aruwan, the girls were rescued after a successful raid by the squad in Kateri area of Kachia local government area of the state.
"The security squad that was detailed to follow-up came under fire from the kidnappers. But the raid succeed in freeing the girls.
Similarly, a notorious kidnapper, one Abdullahi Ali, has been arrested following information from members of the public.
Aruwan also disclosed that another notorious bandit, one Mohammed Sani of Bakari village in Dutsin-Ma local government area in Katsina State was arrested by Operation Yaki Surveillance Patrol team in a Joint Operation with the State Armed Robbery Squad of the Nigerian Police on Thursday 18 February, 2016. A gang of armed robbers had blocked the road along Gwagwada in Kachia Local Government Area of the State and were robbing motorists of their valuables, distress calls from the victims received a prompt response from the police, leading to the arrest. Other gang members escaped with bullet wounds and one AK-47 riffle, with three loaded magazine was recovered.
The Kaduna State Government commends citizens for providing information to improve the security situation. It assured that calls to the helplines '08081708671, 08064810676 and 08050366625' will always receive prompt responses.
