Kogi: Bello Sacks All Perm Secs, Finance Directors, Others
The governor of Kogi State, Yahaya Bello has asked all Permanent Secretaries, Directors of Finance and Directors of Accounts in all ministries and parastatal to embark on 30-days compulsory leave.
He however said the directive does not apply to the Permanent Secretary, Government House, while Permanent Secretaries on acting capacity are exempted.
The governor also relieved the Accountant General of the state of his appointment and asked the most senior staff to take over from him.
But while the most senior person to take over from the Accountant General is a permanent Secretary who has been affected by the order to embark on a 30-days compulsory leave, the directive said the most senior officer after the perm sec takes over for the time bieng.
The directive of the governor on Tuesday said the leave is to take effect from Tuesday, February, 16.
Consequently, the Accountant General is to hand over to the most senior staff after the staff affected by this directive.
In the same vein, all Director of Local Governments (DLGs), all Treasurers of Local Governments, all Education Secretaries, all Cashiers to Local Governments in the state are to proceed on 30-days compulsory leave effective from tomorrow, February 16, 2016.
