NDDC to probe former top officials, contractors

Some former officials of Niger Delta Development Commission, NDDC and contractors are to be invited by the new management of the commission to explain their roles on some key issues.

According to a statement by the Head, Corporate Affairs of the Commission, Mr Chijioke Amu-Nnadi, Mrs Semenitari said she will continue to promote President Muhammadu Buhari's zero tolerance to corruption.

Huge embarrassment:

Meanwhile, Governor Adams Oshiomhole of Edo State, has said that the NDDC has been a huge embarrassment to the people of the Niger Delta States, adding that those who had been saddled with the responsibility of running the commission enriched themselves to the detriment of Niger Delta people.

He urged the acting MD of the commission, Mrs Semenitari to sack all under-performing NDDC contractors and staff who have compromised the objective for which the commission was set up, so as to give fresh hope to the people of the region. He spoke when the management of NDDC paid him a courtesy visit.
