Nigeria has manpower to overcome economic challenges - Counsellor, Spanish Embassy

The Economic and Commercial Counsellor, Embassy of Spain in Nigeria, Mr Pablo Martinez Segrelles has said that he is confident Nigeria will overcome the economic crises because of her strength, manpower and knowledge.
Mr Segrelles, who stated this at the AfricaBuild, Lagos exhibition at Landmark event centre, Lagos, said that Nigeria is a country investors should not miss out both on short and long term investments.
The event, which was the first of its kind in Nigeria witnessed about 91 exhibitors from 16 countries, is aimed at encouraging investors to explore opportunities in the construction industry.
German Consul General in Lagos, Mr Ingo Herbert commended the organisers for the initiative stating that there's no better time to organise such event than when the country is looking and endless ways of diversifying it's economy.
"Everyday, we read in the pages of newspapers about the economy challenges and possible ways of diversifying. Lagos has a big influence on the economic development of Africa I want to congratulate you all for organising this event at the right place at the right time."
Also, the General Director, Federation of Construction Industry Nigeria (FOCI), Mrs Olubunmi Adekoje explained that the industry has been a big player in construction for about 60 years, adding that with the various economic challenges bedevilling the industry, players and investors have been making huge success and contributed to employment in all sector.
She further encouraged investors to keep investing in Nigeria and indeed Africa for productivity.
Some of the countries and exhibitors present at the event include Austria, Spain, Germany, Turkey, Italy, Poland, South Africa, Greece, United Arab Emirates, China, Belgium.
Others are France, South Korea, Lebanon, host country, Nigeria among others.
