Pilgrims allowed to bring in 'Goro' into Saudi Arabia

According to Arab News, the General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA) is expected to allow travelers coming to Saudi Arabia to bring in "Goro" (kola tree fruit) for personal use, provided they do not exceed the allowable quantity of two kilograms, according to a circular released by the head of the Customs Department.

The circular stated that anyone who does not follow the guidelines will be heavily penalized and will be forced to return to their own countries at their expense, and with a SR50,000 fine.

Customs Department Spokesperson, Issa Al Issa, said that this is not a new decision, as the ban was actually adjusted two years ago.
