Pro-Marafa Protesters Storm National Assembly, Ask Saraki to Resign
Protesters this morning besieged the National Assembly warning the Senate President Bukola Saraki against suspending Senator Kabiru Marafa (APC, Zamfara Central).
It was widely reported earlier that there were moves to suspend Marafa over his remarks supporting the statement of former president Olusegun Obasanjo that the National Assembly is corrupt.
The protesters were at the entrance of the National Assembly around 10.am with placards that read: "Suspend Saraki not Marafa", "Leave the Senate and face CCT trial" Democracy survives on inclusiveness not suspension " among others.
