ADEBULE TASKS EDUCATION STAKEHOLDERS
Lagos State Deputy Governor, Dr. Idiat Adebule has called for the support and cooperation of education stakeholders to improve and move the education sector forward.
Adebule, who superintends the Education sector, made the call recently, when a delegation from the Faculty of Education, Lagos State University (LASU) paid her a courtesy visit at Alausa, Ikeja.
She affirmed that education is important in the attainment and acceleration of development and transformation, noting that the State Government recognized the place of education which is why it has been doing its best in areas of physical infrastructure and human resources in the sector.
``But there is still more to be done. This is where we need your support, experience, knowledge, ideas and suggestions to improve the education sector. I am glad that my fellow educationists, constituency and my teachers are here to see me, to lend their support and make sure that I do not disappoint them. I am open to your suggestions and I assure you that I will not disappoint you or bring your name to disrepute," she said.
Earlier in her remarks, Prof. Ayodeji Badejo, Dean, Faculty of Education, LASU and the Leader of the delegation, congratulated the Deputy Governor, especially as the one in charge of education, adding that they have no doubt that she is equal to the task.
"We have no doubt that you are equal to the task and we shall support you in every way to move education forward in Lagos State,'' he said.
