Nigeria-Israeli Holds Symposium On SMEs, Agric, Solid Minerals
A one-day symposium and exhibition on "Nigeria-Israeli Relations: Focus on SMEs, Agriculture and Solid Minerals," has been scheduled to hold on March 3, at the NICON Luxury Hotel, Abuja.
The symposium is being organized jointly by the Citizens Center for International Relations Research (RICC), an independent think tank based in Abuja, in collaboration with the Embassy of Israel in Nigeria.
Director- general of the center and chairman of the organizing committee, Dr Cletus Akwaya, in a statement in Abuja, weekend, said the objective of the event was to further sensitize Nigerian business people and government policy makers on the immense business opportunities that exist and could be utilized to the mutual benefit of the two countries.
"The administration of President Muhammadu Buhari has declared its intention to diversify the nation's economy by developing the non-oil sectors particularly agriculture and solid minerals.
"Similarly, one of the administration's cardinal poverty alleviation programmes is job creation through the reinvigoration of the small and medium-scale enterprises (SMEs) sector.
